Fusion is the dynamic group that serves the youth of the community
with a place to explore their faith, discover ways to further their
relationship with Christ and together take the love of Christ down the
halls of their schools, their homes and into the community. Together
this group supports one another with love, laughter, music and prayer.
Stop
in and check it out any Sunday night at the McClay Campus, 5:30 - 7:00
p.m. or on Sunday mornings in the hallway of the 94 Campus at 9:15 -
10:15 a.m.

ENJOY an essay from one the Fusion Youth Group members...
A True Neighbor

If you look up “good neighbor” in the dictionary, Brandon Salter would
be the definition. Brandon is the youth and praise band leader at
United Methodist Church of the Shepherd. Trustworthy, encouraging, and
really fun to be around, there is no one else in the world like him!
For example, Brandon is the kind of person that you can tell your
entire life story to-maybe a few secrets-even if you have known him for
just an hour. It is as if everyone he meets is another close friend.
He’s always there to listen and if he is in the middle of something he
will make time to be there for you and give advice.
Also, if you have a special skill or talent that can be used around the
church, Brandon is the one who will literally get after you until you
agree to work with him. Of course, he does it in a polite way that gets
you interested in getting involved, rather than forcing you to sign up
for something. Brandon is always trying to find new ways to get all of
his youth members recognized for the awesome things they are capable of.
Last, Brandon is one of the coolest people you will ever meet. He has a
corny sense of humor and is always around to say something silly or
make you laugh. Brandon is also a musician and has his own band. He
writes praise songs that make you want to get up and dance and sing
along, not just stand there and clap with the rest of the crowd. Every
one of Brandon’s performances is like a concert and everyone is
supportive of him. Once Brandon Salter walks into your life, you will
never forget him. He is a greatly unique person who deserves to be
recognized for his positive impact on youth and all other people.
