We are a servant church. At Church of the Shepherd, we encourage one another to take part in mission work. That doesn't mean that everyone should go build churches in Russia or refurbish homes in Mexico - although we do provide those opportunities, it means bringing canned goods for the food pantry or donating your hand to the soup kitchen. It means offering your time, your gifts and your prayers to uphold and support the mission work of your church family.

Salvation Army, St. Charles
Shepherd's Chefs prepare & serve lunch. 
Wednesdays, 10am - 1 pm.
Each team serves once a month.

Shalom House
Dinner is prepared & served at transitional housing for women.
Last Sunday of the month, 4 hours

Food Pantry Workers
Assist clients and stocking local food pantries

Youth compete against other churches in food & household supply drive.

No Hunger Holiday
Food drive provides 1 staple for Thanksgiving meal to 1300+ local families.  Also help pack food boxes

Christmas Blessings
Provide Christmas gifts for families from local agencies.  Assist with sorting and delivery.

Habitat for Humanity
Building homes for people in need.  Variety of opportunities - not all construction . 
4-8 hours. 2007- Local house to be built by UM Churches.

Kingdom House
UM Service Agency.  Christmas opportunities available to assist clients in shopping.
